CoachBase ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and role (athlete or trainer).

Profile Information: You may optionally provide additional details such as height, weight, date of birth, gender, fitness goals, bio, and specialties.

Health & Fitness Data: We collect workout logs, nutrition entries, body measurements, progress photos, and related fitness tracking data that you voluntarily enter.

Usage Data: We automatically collect device type, operating system, app version, and general usage analytics to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the CoachBase service
• To enable trainer-athlete connections and program assignments
• To display your fitness progress and nutrition tracking
• To process subscriptions and payments via RevenueCat
• To send workout reminders and important service notifications
• To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Storage). All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using Google Cloud's encryption standards.

We do not store passwords directly. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these cases:

• Trainer-Athlete relationship: If you connect with a trainer, they can view your workout logs, nutrition data, measurements, and progress photos that you share.
• Service providers: We use Firebase (Google), RevenueCat (subscriptions), and FatSecret (food database, Pro users only) to operate the service.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights.

5. AI Features

CoachBase offers optional AI-powered food scanning using Google Gemini. When you use this feature, food images are sent to Google's API for analysis. We do not store these images beyond the immediate processing.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data within the app.
• Correction: You can edit your profile and data at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete your account from Settings, which permanently removes all your data.
• Export: Pro users can export their data.

7. Children's Privacy

CoachBase is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
